DEPARTMENT OF PEDAGOGY, PSYCHOLOGY, AND CATECHETICS
he Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Catechetics (under a different name) has been involved in the education of teachers of the faith, catechists and (until 2007) priests since the reopening of the college in 1991. Today, in line with modern scholarship and new research findings, we seek to provide our students with the knowledge necessary to their future work with people, whether in the field of faith formation, social work or pastoral care.
The subjects we teach are varied wide-ranging, which is why we have chosen anof the Apostles to symbolize our department. The photo was taken in the courtyard of the college’s previous building and is therefore a glimpse into a world that has since been lost. (The courtyard has been rebuilt, the statues removed, and the college itself is now housed in a new building). Yet the importance of apostolic work in the church of the 21st century remains unchanged. It is our hope that our department will contribute to this work by training the Christian professionals, catechists and theologians of today and tomorrow.
