A student may appeal to the Study Committee if he/she feels that any of his/her academic or examination concerns have not been handled in accordance with the law or the policies of the College.
– The Chair and two members of the Study Committee are elected by the Senate on the recommendation of the Rector. The student member of the Student Council is delegated by the Student Council.
– The Head of the Department of Academic Affairs has deliberative rights within the Committee.
– If the decision of the Study Committee imposes an obligation on an educational department, or if the decision of the Study Committee requires the expertise of the educational department, the Study Committee shall consult the educational department concerned.
– The procedure, quorum, and decision-making process of the Study Committee are laid down in Amendment 1 of the Study and Examination Regulations.
– In the course of its work, the Study Committee monitors and evaluates the provisions of the Study and Examination Regulations in the spring of each year and makes proposals to the Rector for any necessary additions or amendments.
Credit Transfer Committee

The Credit Transfer Committee is responsible for coordinating the transfer of knowledge and for examining the equivalence of academic courses from different institutions of higher education.
– The Credit Transfer Committee consists of three members. Its members are elected by the Senate on the recommendation of the Rector. This committee has no student members.
– The Committee makes decisions, on the basis of a written request from the student, concerning the recognition of academic credits obtained at other institutions of higher education.
– The student shall state in his/her application what type of subject/course he/she wishes to have recognised. The application must be accompanied by an official copy of the transcript of records, the official course description, syllabus, and the official statement of the department responsible for the teaching of the subject named in the student appeal.
– In the course of its proceedings, the Committee may request further information from the educational department concerned.
– The curricular requirements do not need to be fulfilled a second time if the student can provide adequate evidence of having met them previously. As long as the prerequisites are met, credits acquired in a course of study pursuant to § 49(5) shall be recognised irrespective of the higher education institution in question and of the level of study at which the student acquired them.
– The proceedings of the Committee are governed by the Rules of Procedure in Amendment 1 to the Study and Examination Regulations
Committee for Student Benefits and Dormitories
Chair: Dr. Mátyás Szalay
Members: Dr. Réka Csonta Jáky, Dr. Tamás Ragadics and Adrienn Virovecz, delegate of the Student Council
The Student Benefits and Dormitory Committee determines the basic stipend (§ 19), the regular stipend (§ 20) and the extraordinary stipend (§ 21) according to the provisions of the Fees and Stipend Regulations or upon request. The Committee also assesses applications for the basic stipend, the regular social stipend and the extraordinary social stipend, oversees admission to the dormitories, monitors the occupancy rate of the dormitories during the academic year, and ensures that vacancies arising in the dormitories over the course of the academic year are filled.
The Committee consists of four members taken from the faculty and the student body of the College. Student members are delegated by the Student Council. Faculty members are elected by the Senate on the recommendation of the Rector. The operating and procedural rules of the Committee for Student Benefits and Dormitories are laid out in Amendment 2 of the Fees and Stipend Regulations.
Regulations concerning the Committee for Student Benefits and Dormitories
The tasks and competencies of the Committee are describes in §1. The Committee operates within the framework of the Fees Stipends Regulations to:
a) decide on matters referred to it by the regulations of the College,
b) carry out administrative activities to the extent necessary for the performance of its duties,
c) inform students concerning fees and stipends
d) continuously monitor and annually evaluate the regulations on fees and stipends that are payable by and may be granted to students, and initiate the amendment of the regulations and the creation of new regulations, if necessary,
e) propose decisions to the Senate on matters within its competence,
f) report to the Senate on its activities as necessary, but at least once a year.
Quality Assurance Commitee
Chair: Dr. Ottilia Lukács
Members: Dr. Réka Csonta Jáky, Dr. Tamás Ragadics and one delegate from the Student Council
The Quality Assurance Committee is responsible for the definition and continued analysis and development of the College’s quality assurance plans, objectives and methods, as well as for the preparation and coordination of the College’s quality improvement programme. The work of quality management may be divided into the following tasks:
(a) formulating proposals for the College’s quality management plan;
b) monitoring the achievement of quality objectives throughout the year;
c) coordinating quality assurance activities in the institution (e.g.: educating trainers);
d) carrying out surveys, examining and evaluating the results of indicators, providing feedback (to the institution and the teaching community) and formulating relevant improvement proposals and action plans, making proposals for specific institutional improvements and preparing their implementation (PDCA)
(e) preparing an annual quality assurance report, including:
– an evaluation of the work of the faculty reflection groups (four such groups operate within the College)
– self-assessments by the tutors
– student evaluation of teaching work (questionnaire surveys at the end of each semester)
– evaluation of institutional development plans and their implementation.
Oversight and Accountability Committee
Chair: Dr. Frigyes Kvanduk
Members: Dr. Tamás Ragadics, Dr. Ottilia Lukács, Dr. Roland Tamás and Eszter Hartmann, delegate of the Student Council
The Appeals Committee, set up by the Rector, shall act on the appeal in accordance with the rules of procedure set out in the Rules of Procedure in Amendment 1 to the Study and Examination Regulations.
The chair and two members of the Oversight and Accountability Committee are elected by the Senate on the recommendation of the Rector, and its student members are delegated by the Student Council.
Disciplinary Committee
Chair: Dr. Edvárd Kajtár
Members: Réka Jákyné Dr. Csonta, Attila András Szücs and Barbara Papp, delegate of the Student Council
In student disciplinary cases, the Disciplinary Committee of the College acts at the first level. The Disciplinary Committee consists of three members, two of whom are elected by the Senate for a term of three years on the recommendation of the Rector. The Student Council delegates a student member to the Committee.
The following individuals may not participate in the Disciplinary Committee:
a) the investigator of the case,
b) relatives of the student subject to the proceedings,
c) witnesses or experts consulted during the investigation,
d) any person who cannot be expected to give an impartial and objective assessment of the case.
