9. Access to academic counselling, career guidance

The PPHF Department of Academic Affairs is in charge of Enrolment, Careers and Student Counselling Services.

10. The enrolment and registration process

Student status is established upon enrolment:

  • enrolment happens in person at the college, details and dates of enrolment will be communicated to the admitted students in the admission notification letter
  • students must also register in the ETN, the college’s Digital Academic Record system, students will receive information concerning the ETN upon enrolment
  • enrolment with state scholarships and with self-financing, the conditions of which will be communicated to prospective students by the staff of the study department during the enrolment process

Registration period:

  • during this period the student declares his/her semester status
  • information on the registration period is sent by the Department of Academic Affairs via the ETN system
  • the registration period is 1 week, the period of which is fixed in the academic year schedule approved by the Senate (Annual Programme)

Registration of upper year students:

  • registration is possible during the registration period, during this period the student must declare whether he/she wishes to be an active or passive student of the college
  • you can register by degree course
  • the student can change his/her registered status after the end of the registration period until 14 October in the autumn semester and until 14 March in the spring semester, after which date he/she can no longer change it
  • you can request an exceptional pass by the end of the examination period by submitting an application to the Academic Registry (exceptional pass), by means of a written request, officially certified birth, accident, illness or other unexpected reason which prevents you from fulfilling your study obligations through no fault of your own
  • if you are a student but do not declare your status by the deadline above, your status will be placed on passive status by the Department of Studies

Passive legal relationship:

  • a student may be suspended (passivated) several times during his/her studies
  • the period of continuous interruption (passivation) may not exceed two semesters
  • except in the case of childbirth, accident, illness or other unforeseen circumstances which prevent the student from fulfilling his/her study obligations through no fault of his/her own
  • a break of more than two semesters for an exceptional reason must be justified by an officially issued written document.

General information about the semester:

  • The semester starts with the registration period, which lasts until the end of the second week of the academic term at the latest.
  • At this time, the student can fulfil his/her obligation to register for the semester and make arrangements for enrolment in the course.
  • During the registration period of the semester, the student checks the accuracy of his/her personal data, announces his/her decision to continue his/her studies, fulfils his/her obligation to enrol in a course, and reconciles and finalises the courses he/she has enrolled in the study system and plans to complete during the semester.
  • Students have two weeks from the start of the registration period to register and submit their courses/exam courses in the e-learning system via the Student Administration Office.
  • Students (single and two-semester programmes and Master’s programmes) are considered as visiting students at the University of Pécs for administrative purposes. They are obliged to enrol, activate or deactivate their current semester in the NEPTUN system according to the rules of the PTE, and their status is identical to their current status at the PPHF. Courses are enrolled or withdrawn in the Neptun system.

11. Amount of fees and charges levied by the higher education institution, general terms and conditions of training contracts

A student who is subject to a charge is a student who

  • is pursuing his/her studies at a specified cost, and
  • persons other than those referred to in § 39(1) of the Nftv. may pursue their studies exclusively on a fee-paying basis, and
  • he/she has exhausted the funding period provided for in § 6, and
  • has been reclassified as a self-financed student pursuant to § 6(2).

The Rector, on behalf of the PPHF, shall conclude a training contract with the student on enrolment, countersigned by the Finance Office. The training contract is available on the PPHF website at the following link: https://pphf.hu/intezmeny/dokumentumtar/ The training contract contains the name of the course, the amount of the tuition fee, which cannot be changed during the student’s term of study, except for an increase in the amount of the tuition fee in line with the inflation rate published by the KSH (the Austrian Central Statistical Office), but no more than once a year.
In the case of transfer to self-financing, the self-financing fee for the academic year in which the self-financing course starts will be set out in the training contract and the Department of Studies will draw up the levy on this basis.

13. Library and computer services

The Library’s collections include Hungarian and foreign-language literature of the disciplines taught at the College, compulsory and recommended textbooks, notes and works for general information, basic journals, literature and partly journals of the fringe areas of theology, theoretical and methodological literature and auxiliary materials for the teaching of the faith. It also collects theses and dissertations written at the college and documents relating to the history of the institution. The Library acquires several copies of primary and secondary literature supplied by teachers as and when required.
In order to support students’ studies at the college, PPHF provides free WiFi internet access to its students on the college premises. Information on the use of WiFi network is available from the Department of Academic Affairs.
